Q-01: How are the workshop levels defined?

A-01: It is very hard to define the level of individual dancers. Nevertheless, the levels are approximately estimated as follows.
Intermediate: includes advanced beginners -- 4 months ~ 2 years of learning and dancing experience.
Advanced: includes medium-advanced dancers -- 2 years ~ 5 years of learning and dancing experience.
Master: Dancers with more than 4 years of learning and dancing experience aimed on becoming amateur or professional dancers.

Q-02: Can I choose a level higher than mine?

A-02: Participants with less than 6 months dancing experience are encouraged to take the Intermediate workshops. If you are ranging between intermediate and advanced, you can take both Intermediate and Advanced workshops, although it is always advisable to moderate the amount of lessons you take so that you can fully enjoy the milongas as well.

Q-03: What happens if I do not have a partner for workshops?

A-03: We tend to balance the quantity of men and women in classes by setting a discount for paired registration. This does not mean that they need to be partners during the class. We have a mutual understanding with the Masters that change of partners during the class should be constant. The most important thing is to be in the appropriate level, because in that way it is ensured that other dancers will be glad to practice with you.

Q-04: Can I videofilm or take photos during the class?

A-04: Since videofilming and taking photos might be distracting during class, these are restricted to the Taipei Tango Festival personnel only. Some masters make a demonstration at end of the class for the participants to film. In this situation it is allowed to film.

Q-05: Can I videofilm or take photos during the dance exhibitions?

A-05: Videofilming and photos of any kind during the dance exhibitions are restricted to the Taipei Tango Festival personnel only. The main purpose for this restriction is to have people fully enjoy the exhibitions.

Q-06: What would the price be if I am not taking all the classes with the same partner?

A-06: We recommend that you take all the classes with the same partner. However, we accept the following as well:
1. To take some classes with a partner and some alone, you could enjoy discount only for those classes that you take with a partner. For example,
Person A takes #2, 3, 10, 16, 18 (5 workshops)
Person B takes #2, 3, 10, 16, 18 (with Person A) and 8, 14, 19 (no partner)
Then Person A have to pay NT900*5 for 5 classes, and Person B have to pay NT800*5 + NT900*3 for 8 classes.
2. To take some classes with a partner and some with another, for example,
Person A takes #2, 3, 10, 16, 18 (5 workshops)
Person B takes #2, 3, 10, 16, 18 (with Person A) and 8, 14, 19 (with Person C)
Then Person B have to pay NT800*8 for 8 classes.
3. In case 2, if Person B only take 2 classes with Person C, for example,
Person A takes #2, 3, 10, 16, 18 (5 workshops)
Person B takes #2, 3, 10, 16, 18 (with Person A) and 8, 14, (with Person C) and 19 (no partner)
Then Person B cannot have discount for classes 8, 14 and 19 since the minimum is to take 3 classes with the same partner.
