什麼是阿根廷探戈？
19世紀末，阿根廷布宜諾斯艾利斯及烏拉圭蒙特維多的港口之間，匯聚了許許多多出外打拼、離鄉背井的人們，在鄉愁、期望、愛恨交織的環境下，萌生出他們得著慰藉的探戈舞蹈和音樂。
阿根廷探戈舞蹈的本質是「擁抱」、「走路」，並以即興的方式進行，因此每對舞者呈現的舞蹈內容各異其趣！「沙龍探戈」在1935~1955 年探戈黃金時期發展出來時，便承襲了這項精神，強調優雅走路，以舞會的社交性質為精髓。多數人學習阿根廷探戈的目的是到舞會跳舞，因此沙龍探戈是目前主要學習的探戈舞蹈風格。而除了即興形式的舞蹈，亦有以編舞表演為主的「舞台探戈」類別，著名舞者 Juan Carlos Copes 及 María Nieves 將探戈搬上正式舞台，在1984 年率領大型阿根廷探戈秀「阿根廷探戈」(TANGO ARGENTINO) 走紅國際，各地探戈社群因而開始蓬勃發展。
經歷一百多年發展，探戈儼然成為阿根廷的文化符碼，然而，再透過作曲家皮亞佐拉的音樂、電影「女人香」…等影音的推波助瀾，它已經超越了國族民情的邊際。如今，探戈課程和舞會遍佈世界各處，讓來自不同地方的人相聚一堂，以身體與情感交流對話，創造屬於彼此、獨一無二的美妙時刻。
In the late 19th century, the ports connecting Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay, became a crossroads for many migrants who left their homes in search of a better life. Amidst a wave of nostalgia, hope, love, and bitterness, Tango music and dance emerged as a solace for their souls.
The essence of Argentine Tango lies in the "embrace" and "walking," performed through continuous improvisation—making every couple's dance uniquely expressive. Developed during Tango's Golden Age from 1935 to 1955, "Salon Tango" inherited this spirit, emphasizing elegant walking with social dancing at its core. Since most people learn Argentine Tango to dance at social gatherings (milongas), Salon Tango remains the primary style taught today. Beyond improvised social dance, there is also "Stage Tango", which focuses on choreographed performances. Legendary dancers Juan Carlos Copes and María Nieves brought Tango to formal stages, taking the hit show "TANGO ARGENTINO" to international acclaim in 1984, which catalyzed the flourishing of Tango communities worldwide.
Over a century of evolution, Tango has become an iconic cultural symbol of Argentina. Fueled further by Astor Piazzolla's compositions and classic cinema like Scent of a Woman, it has transcended national and cultural borders. Today, Tango classes and milongas can be found all across the globe, bringing people from diverse backgrounds together to connect through movement and emotion, creating unique and unforgettable moments.

我們提供團體課程及個別課程：
團體課程是入門學習探戈的最佳途徑。通常由一對老師示範講解，清楚而詳實，隨後穿插練習並進行個別指導。
個別課程適合完成初級課程後有特定問題、想更清楚瞭解各項動作及觀念，或單純想透過與老師跳舞精進舞蹈技巧及感覺的人，亦適用於有表演需求或想學習特定技巧的人。常見形式有一對一或二對二。

We provide group classes and private lessons:
Group classes are the best way of introduction to tango. Demonstration and explanation is made by one couple of teachers in a clear and thorough way, alternated with practice time in class with individual instruction from the teachers.
Private lessons are suitable for students that have learned the basics and have specific questions, want to have a better understanding of the dance, or simply improve by dancing with the teacher. Also effective for individuals or couples that want to perform or learn specific steps. The most common formula is one teacher with one student or one couple of teachers with one couple of students.

"Milonga" 是布宜諾斯艾利斯對於探戈舞會的稱呼，亦是探戈文化的精華。舞會中主要播放 Tango, Milonga 以及 Vals 三個曲種，以社交為目的、即興方式來舞蹈。舞會詳情請見「常態活動」頁面。
"Milonga" is the what tango parties are called in Buenos Aires. The night consists of mainly three musical genres - tango, milonga and vals - grouped in sets of 3~5 songs for social dancing. Please see events page for our milonga information. -
我們提供的表演形式，可為一對（或以上）之舞者表演，亦可搭配探戈樂團現場演奏。探戈相關講座可單獨舉辦，或是與舞蹈表演融合。若有其它需求或客製內容，歡迎來信洽詢。
We offer performances by one or more couples of dancers, which can also be accompanied by a live tango band. Our tango lectures can be held independently or combined with dance performances.
